Tethering - definition

Tethering is the process to transmit the mobile data over Wi-Fi, BlueTooth, USB cable or related connectivity. The phone network can be shared in a mesh where different devices such as laptop, other phones or any other Wi-Fi supported device can get connected and use the data shared by the host. It is also known as personal hotspot, private hotspot, mobile hotspot, portable hotspot or WLAN hotspot. User can set a security layer by setting a pass code of minimum characters. Without the security no anonymous device can get connected with the network legally. Example: A lot of multiplayer games request host to have other player on-boarded via Wi-Fi Hotspot. i.e.: Mini Militia.
