Mbps (Megabit per second) - definition

Mbps is the unit of data transmission speed in a Broadband internet connection. Mbps stands for Mega Bit per Second. Point to be noted, it is a measure where Bits are measures, not bytes. Most people mix these two up.

i.e.: 1 Mbps (Mega bit per second) = 0.125 MBPS (Megabyte per second).
