Oryon CPU - definition
The Snapdragon X Elite chipset was unveiled by Qualcomm at the Snapdragon Technology Summit 2023 in Maui. It is a member of the latest Snapdragon X-branded SoC series, which makes use of the Oryon CPU core. At the 2022 Snapdragon Summit, Oryon made an announcement, but that was all that was stated at the time.
The CPU cores in some Qualcomm chipsets, such as the Snapdragon X Elite and a variety of upcoming devices, go by the name Oryon. These are customized Arm cores, which sets them apart from the Kryo cores the company was previously implementing.
