FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) - definition

It is often used in today’s smartphone. Phone manufacturer let’s user update their phone’s firmware with the latest update wirelessly even without having the hard files stored in the storage. User can use the phone and download the updates at the same time without interrupting the OS at all, later on; the updates can be installed based on user’s update management plan.
