CAD - definition

CAD stands for “Computer-Aided Design” which helps professionals to design schematic in 2D or 3D shape with proper measurement in a tiny worksheet. CAD is offered by several companies, it is nothing but the software in computer. A few popular CAD software are Cadence, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EagleCAD, TinkerCAD, Fusion 360 degree, OrCAD, and so on.

It is mostly used by the designer who works in mechanical, architect, civil, electronic, and electrical departments to design the blueprint with proper measurement so that the main structure can be built easily without any flaws and simulated before implementation.
Among all types of CAD software, 3D CADs are the most used and most advanced because of the three (3) dimensional design capability and simulation. Though it does require a much heavier computer system than a regular one to run the software depending on cases, still a great solver for the engineers.
