Form factor - definition

Form factor are one of the most used terms in devices. It is used to describe the size, physical specification, pin configuration, component type or shape of an electronic device or components. In general it is the physical aspects of a device or components.
i.e.: The standard form factor for an SSD is 2.5-inch. A smaller form factor of SSD is M.2
Before, getting a device or component, we must have to check the form factor supported by the device if it supports that specific form factor or not.
