LCD - definition

LCD is a display type that denotes Liquid Crystal Display. LCD is one of the most used display types which are used in most digital clocks, mobile devices, laptops, computers, and other industrial monitors. LCD is a flat-surfaced electronically operated device used to generate still or moving pictures. Liquid crystals normally don’t emit light on their own if not used in any fluorescent source as the backlight.
There are three (3) major types of LCD which are: Transmissive, Reflective, and Transflective.
