FCC (Federal Communications Commission) - definition

FCC is an independent agency that regulates the communication done by radio, satellite, wire, television, across the United States. The mission of FCC’s specified in Section One of the Comm. Act of 1934 and amended by Telecomm. Act of 1996 is to “make available far as possible, to all the people of the United States, without discrimination on the bias of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex, rapid, efficient, Nationwide and worldwide wire and radio communication services with adequate facilities at a reasonable rate.
