Circuit - definition

A circuit is a linked system of electronic parts that has a single purpose, such boosting a signal, filtering out noise, or managing the flow of power. A circuit may be conceived of as a closed channel or loop through which electricity travels and is regulated by the circuit's parts.
Circuits may be divided into two categories: analog and digital. Digital circuits process discrete signals like those found in computers and digital electronics, whereas analog circuits process continuous signals like those found in audio and video applications. Electronic devices including resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits (ICs) can all be used to build circuits. To build the appropriate circuit arrangement, these components are linked together using wires or printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Circuit theory and analysis approaches, which employ mathematical equations and models to forecast the behavior of circuits under various circumstances, can be used to design and evaluate circuits. Before a circuit is actually built, it can be tested and improved using software for circuit simulation.
