Touch ID - definition

Touch ID (Identification) is nothing but a biometric verification system developed with a capacitive touch panel that can read the fingerprint precisely and the sensor data can be read for multiple purposes such as security protocol.
More or less all smartphones have this feature named either fingerprint sensor or Touch ID (in Apple Devices). It can be placed anywhere, the manufacturer put the sensor based on the best user experience such as under thumb (on the power button), the upper backside of the back cover, side-mounted on the power button, or independently.
Uses: Touch ID is used for many factors in a mobile device such as protecting the device's main menu, locking and application, blocking access to digital banking, and so on.
