OTG - definition

OTG stands for On the Go. OTG is a feature that allows the device to act as a host and provide support of other peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard, flash drive, cameras, etc. To use OTG user must connect the OTG cable which is nothing but a port converter, which converts i.e.: Micro USB to USB so that in other terminal USB devices can be connected. OTG is a concept that enables the device to act as both master and slave.

OTG has two roles for devices which are OTG-A and OTG-B. The device which supplies power is considered as OTG-A portion and devices which consume power are named OTG-B portion.
