Display and Performance
Display:As for the display, more or less the Poco X3 Pro has the same display as the Poco X3. A 120Hz, IPS LCD panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which is an upgrade. The IPS LCD panel here is good. It has good brightness levels and has no issues with visibility. It's a smooth display with a higher refresh rate. The colors look good, and the Blacks are as good as you can get in an IPS LCD in this price segment.
Performance:So, the design and display are out. It's time to talk about the big deal in the Poco X3 Pro which makes it an incredible value for money even in 2022. The performance. So let's get the specifications out of the way. The powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset with the Adreno 640 GPU, up to 6 or 8 GIGs of LPDDR4 Ram, and 128 or 256 GIGs of fast UFS 3.1 storage. Now, what's the most exciting thing here? Snapdragon Eight Series chipset. No other phone offers a Snapdragon Eight Series chipset at this price point. It's probably the first time since the Poco F1, that a phone brings a Snapdragon Eight Series chipset under 30000 taka.
Sneak peak at the specs:
- OS: Android 11, MIUI 12.5 for POCO
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 (7 nm)
- CPU: Octa-core (1x2.96 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 4x1.78 GHz Kryo 485 Silver)
- GPU: Adreno 640
- Storage Standard: UFS 3.1
Now first off, the Snapdragon 860 is basically the Snapdragon 855 plus. There's no difference between them whatsoever. They're basically the same chipset. Now, this means that this is an eight-series chipset from a couple of years back. But that's not a bad thing because it still beats every other midrange chipset in the market. Every other phone at this price offers a Snapdragon 7 series chipset like Snapdragon 732G and the Snapdragon 750G or Mediatek Helio, G-series, or Dimensity mid-range chipsets. And all these chipsets are not even close to beating the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 in terms of GeekBench or Antutu benchmark scores. The Snapdragon 860 is just way higher.
But how is the real-world performance of the Poco X3 Pro? Well, when it comes to day-to-day use, the Poco X3 Pro is pretty consistent. Daily tasks like surfing around the internet and the apps, writing, browsing social media feel very smooth and snappy. There’s no lag been noticed. Poco X3 Pro gives a solid gaming experience in this price range. No major frame drops or stutter lags are noticed. Non-gaming performance has been pretty solid too. So the point is, a lot of people still use the Poco F1, and even though the phone has gotten old, it has remained fairly good in terms of performance, and that's due to the Snapdragon 845 chipset. And you know what? The same thing will happen with the Poco X3 Pro in the long run.
